Ingredients

We are playing with this beautiful and elegant set called On Occasion from  Verve Stamps. Its part of their newest May release!

We are also using a Viva La Verve sketch from this past week.

And now for what we made…

Creations

The stamp set and sketch are both so elegant and sophisticated that Amy and I were both inspired to go elegant with our cards. I went with a white-grey theme and Amy picked a white silver theme. Here are out cards, mine on the left and Amy’s on the right.

Its not visible in the photo but my second layer where I stamped the frame is actually a shimmery patterned paper from SEI.

Hope you enjoyed the challenge! But wait… what’s an Iron Craft challenge without a giveaway? 🙂

Both your cards are charming, and showcase the On Occasion set beautifully! I’m fairly new to card-making, so my style is in a state of flux, evolving constantly! For now, *whimsical* comes to mind – doodles, cute images, paper-piecing (lots of that! Love paper-piecing), flowers, butterflies. Thanks for the wonderful give-away opportunity, and especially the ‘pretty cards’ – day-brightener, smile-making and inspiring!

I call myself a ‘classic scrapper’
I like simple pages and I usually use primary colors
but I’m open to anything and sometimes I’ll branch out of my comfort zone.

What a pretty card! I love the elegant look to both your cards and love the addition of the pearls on yours. I don’t know that I have a consistent crafting style. I tend towards CAS, but I like to experiment, and will create very fussy technique laden cards too just because I’m trying new things.

it is so amazing how similar these two cards are, but how different… my style is all over the place I enjoy trying new techniques, so those can be very different…. Thanks for the chance to win

What gorgeous cards you two made.
I saw a crafting blog recently that defined a variety of styles, and decided mine is probably “classy and elegant” which on this blog’s definitions fell between CAS and vintage and fussy (though I don’t think that was the title they used).

Both cards are beautiful! I only make cards and I like lots of layers & detail, ribbon and pearls. I love to fussy cut an image sometimes several times and pop up each layer on foam tape to really add dimension. Also, I have to say Verve is my go to company for Bible verses, lovely images and sentiments.

How fun! I love how similar your two cards are! Both are very pretty and elegant!

My stamping style is a little mix of everything but I lean toward lots of colors and bright colors! I keep things pretty CAS too.
