Belleek Pottery Challenge

I love experimenting with new techniques and the Technique Lover’s Challenges at Splitcoaststampers are an excellent opportunity to know and try new techniques.

This week’s challenge was to make a card inspired by Belleek Pottery. Here is mine:

Supplies:
Cardstock: SU pink cardstock, Papertrey Ink rustic cream
Accessories: Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon’s January kit, Flower embellishment from Michaels
Tools: Cuttlebug, Musical swirls A2 embossing folder
Ink: Tim Holtz Tattered Rose distress ink

I inked out one side of the Cuttlebug embossing folder with the distress ink (the side with the logo) and used rustic cream paper for the embossed panel. Ran this through the Cuttlebug and voila! The ribbon, flower and pink paper were from my V-Day cardmaking aftermath but this one could go with just any light background.

Also, noticed something else? Thats right! No *gasp* sentiment! 🙂 But I sometimes like to mak cards without any sentiment at all. Great to pair with a surprise gift or if you want a handy all-occasion card.

Thanks for looking!
