25 Days of Christmas Tags – Day 13

Hey everyone!

Surprised by the title? Wondering where the earlier 12 days were? 🙂 Don’t worry, I’ll point you to them in a second!

Tracey invited me to be a designer for her fabulous 25 Days of Christmas Tags series this year! I’m honored to play with a very talented bunch of ladies! My day is day 13 of the series – right in the middle! So if you didn’t know about it so far, check it out for a whole lot of inspiration and keep watching it for more to come!

I have 2 tags today to share with you today. Both are made from cut files I designed.

The first one I inked up with a nice wintery blend of distress inks, backed with some shiny silver paper to show through the snowflake and colored over the snowflake with a white gel pen in places. The sentiment is from an upcoming Verve stamp set and is embossed.

The second one is perfect for mass producing! I cut it out, colored over it with black watercolor, making sure to wet my paper thoroughly and making my brush strokes very uneven. This is how I got the woodgrain pattern on the watercolor. Then added some lovely colored patterned paper behind the cut ornament. Same greeting, embossed again.
