Retrospective bloghop and a poll!

Now I’ll admit I had a selfish reason for designing the Indian inspired stamp designs – I wanted to use them on my Diwali cards this year! Thankyou Julee for releasing them now. I can get started on my Diwali cards early!

For those of you who don’t know Diwali, it is one of the biggest festivals in India. For the past 2 years I have been sending Diwali cards to friends and family. And the list gets longer each year. This time its 60 cards!

So I laid down some rules for my cards this year to make the mass-producing easy. I’ll tell you that story in another post. Today you get to see the cards!

I made 4 cards as prototypes! And those are my hop cards today! On all of them I used the Moments Remembered and/or Peaceful Medallions stamp sets.

Card 1 features red and gold and a simple layout. The gold feather is with Delicata ink. All other inks are Memento.

Card 2 features dry embossing with a Lifestyle Crafts embossing folder that I inked up with Delicata gold ink. I kept the stamping low on this one because of the embossing involved.

Card 3 has a Raspberry Fizz background and has a pink and gold combination. there is some dimension with the raise center panel.

Card 4 has a kraft background with a sweet blush frame behind the front panel. Also has gold and rich cocoa stamping.
