Iron Craft #9

Hi all! Its Monday again. Time for a new Iron Craft episode! 🙂 Trust me, you will want to read this one all the way to the end because…. there is a SURPRISE for you!

MasterCrafter

DanielleLoundsThere is only one word I can use to describe my guest’s style today. FUN! When I think of Danielle’s cards, I think of fun, bright and cheerful cards! Whats that? You didn’t yet squeal on hearing her name? You should! Because Danielle Lounds is here today!

You must have seen Danielle’s creations all around blogosphere. She has won many challenges and has been on awesome design teams before including the Taylored Expressions Baker’s Dozen team. Currently Danielle is on There She Goes DT (oops did I give away what our ingredients are today??).

Her blog has an interesting name – Fat Cat Stamper. And a very interesting blog header as well that features one of her cats! You must pay attention to it when you visit her later.I haven’t got to ask Danielle this yet but I’ll ask her now – why this blog name?

Now that all the formal introductions are done, time to see what we chose for our ingredients…

Ingredients

I gave away one of our ingredients earlier I think. We are using a There She Goes stamp set! Specifically the Ba Donkey Donk set.

You must have seen this one featured on my blog a bunch of times. Its one of my favoritest set!!

Now we couldn’t stop at one ingredient so we picked another. Our second ingredient is Inky Antics HoneyPOP paper! I got that idea from this awesome tag of Danielle’s.

So wanna see what we made? Here goes…

Creations

Here are our cards. Mine is on the left and Danielle’s on the right.

DanielleLoundsAndMe

Like I said, playing with Danielle inspired me to make a fun and goofy card. Hence the googley eyes! Love how we both used the honeypop paper so differently! Oh and if you look closely, I had to do a little surgery on my donkey to get him to wave a hoof out of the basket. Did that with stamping the lower half of the donkey image again, coloring it and cutting it out then sticking it instead of the actual hoof. If you see the original image above, you will know what I mean.

Now for the surprise I mentioned before! There She Goes Stamps has very generously sponsored a giveaway of $15 gift certificate for one lucky winner!!! Thank you TSG!!

Just leave a comment here till 23:59 EST on May 2 and I’ll pick a random winner after that for the gift certificate!

Thanks again for dropping by. Don’t forget to head over and check out what Danielle has to say about her card!

I love what you both did with the crepe paper “pop” – not seen that before it’s fabulous and a perfect setting for my favourite donkey 😀

Thanks so much for inviting me to play along, Chaitali! I had oodles of fun! Love, love, love your card – so cute with the donkey waving his hand and the honeycomb balloon – suhweet! 🙂 P.S. I was inspired to name my blog after my very own extra fluffy cat Magoo – although he is on a diet now. 😉

Your card is so adorable and same with Danielle’s. I’ve been loving all the cards I’m seeing the Honeypop papers on and I might need to break down and get some myself! 🙂 Fantastic job!
