Hey folks!
I’m so excited and honored today to join in Catherine Pooler’s bloghop for her store opening!!! CONGRATS Catherine and wish you lots of success! You should have come from Ingrid Blackburn‘s blog. If not, you might want to start at the beginning here!
What will be sold in the store you ask? Almost every product that was in the first four SOA Collections: Friendship, Holiday Magic, Young at Heart and Beautiful World.
Yeppers! Beautiful World too! Thats why I’m joining in. So exciting to see my the stamp and die set I illustrated in the store! Here is a peek at it right in the shop promo graphic!
This set is so versatile and so fun to use in many many ways! Coloring, line art, backgrounds, diecut popups, embossing – whatever you want! I am showing you a really fun use of it today – background stamping with some zentangling!
I started with stamping the set elements down first with plenty of space between them. Then used my dip-pen and ink to zentangle patterns between. My biggest barrier to zentangling has been a blank piece of paper – it scares me and I’ve no idea what to fill. But with a little stamping, you can avoid that. Most of the background is there, you just add the little details 🙂
After it dried, I used distress inks to blend in some color. And one of the SOA stencils to add in some patterns too. The sentiment top half is computer printed and the Thanks is handwritten with a dip-pen.
So are you READY for the store opening???!!! 😀
It will open in the afternoon and to get notified, please subscribe to Catherine’s newsletter when you visit her blog. She’ll send out an email when the store is open! You don’t want to miss it!
Don’t forget to comment on her blog for a chance to WIN one of 3 gift certificates also!
Now on to your next inspiration station – Laurel Beard!
Thanks for stopping by!!
So smart to use the stencils to build texture behind the flowers. Great stamp set

Hello,
Oh wow, this is amazing. I don’t think I would be able to have the patients to do this. One would not notice spaces between, and you made this card beautifully, and you are so talented in our design. I love the separation of the colors, it made it look like and expensive card. Also, you Thank you that you done by hand was amazing, because it looks like a real stamp.
