I am joining the SugarPea Designs team today as the fun April release continues with another stamp and die set illustrated by me!

This set was just so amazing that I got an AMAZING idea for the card!! Felt so good to see it come together too! Ready to see what I’m so excited about? Here it is!!

YES!!!! That’s actual water!!!!! And it moves!!!!!!

I’ve been hoarding these shaker ovals since I first started crafting in 2010. When I saw this set it reminded me of Saanvi’s bubble baths with her rubber ducky. And that sparked the idea… what if…. I could make an actual water shaker on a card?!

This is really simple to do actually. I started with stamping the image on a while cardstock and copic coloring it. Then put a layer of acetate over it to create a waterproof backside of the bubble bath. For the bath I used a little bit of shaving gel mixed with water. Just a little bit was enough to fill half the oval. In retrospect, maybe even lesser than this would have been nice to show more of the ducky. Stuck on the shaker oval over it and voila!

I apologize for not knowing the origin of the shaker oval. It was in my stash from before I started tracking products I own 🙂

The sentiment is heat embossed on black and the frame I cut from nested ZigZag Stitched Rectangles.

    Adding my voice to the ‘Awe’ expressed by the others before me! A ‘true’ water shaker: blows me away! I agree: a most amazing release and, of course, a most amazing individual as the designer! Tons of possibilities…and the cuteness factor is exponential!
