Trick or Treat Bloghop

Hey everyone!

If you missed my post on my Facebook page and Instagram, I’m going to demand you immediately send me 2 lb candy for Halloween! Just kidding! But I really hope you’ll follow me there because I post lots of little bits and pieces there that are too small for a full blog post. And there are cute baby pics of Saanvi too occasionally 🙂

So the announcement you missed was that I’m joining SugarPea Designs as a designer/illustrator! Very excited to work with SPD. I’ve followed Wendy’s blog since way before she started SPD. So this opportunity was awesome!

Today I’m joining the SPD DT for my first blog hop! We are Trick or Treating for Halloween.

Wendy has started things off by giving you your first treat by offering everyone 15% off your entire order this weekend by using code: BOO2U  Expires: Midnight EST – November 1, 2015

Halloween-Sale-2015

I have 2 cards to show you today for a Trick and a Treat at the end of my post!

Trick-or-Treat-Blog-Hop

I used the Foxy Friend stamp set for my cards today. It is important you see the foxy as it is in the set so here is a pic…

And here are my cards…

Halloween1

Halloween2

I changed the foxy from a happy smiley one to a scared one! And added a few things to scare him. Thats my Trick for today. Here is how I did it…

To change the foxy, I masked off his mouth and nose with washi tape before inking the stamp then took off the tape and stamped the image without the mouth and nose. Then a little line drawing first with a pencil then with a sharpie to finish the image! Colored him with copics and cut out. I added the black drops later to show how scared he was 🙂

For the Halloweeny background I blended distress inks. And hand drew the trees with pencil then inked them with a sharpie.

The ghosts in the first card and the pumpkins in the second card I drew out digitally, printed and colored then fussy cut. The sentiment is also printed and cut. These digital elements are my Treat for today. Download them here as a PDF…

    Chai,

I have to admit I love the little fox looking less scary, but you certainly did him proud for the challenge! I just like sweet and cute over scary. . . Lol! I learned about th hop from your post, and have gone back to beginning so I could see everyone’s work. Several, people don’t have posts up for this hop, are they maybe just late posting?

Congrats on being part of this design team, although they are lucky to have you!

    Hugs,
    Maureen

So much fun that you’ve changed the squirrel to be scared and how you scared him with the spooky background and the scary elements! Thanks so much for sharing these very creative creations!
