Hey folks!
I’m joining in today for the Verve April 2015 Inspiration hop! The theme was bunnies and babies and with a couple of baby cards to make + all the lovely spring colors to use, I couldn’t stay away!
A little info on the hop before I show you my cards… There are two ways to win Verve prizes: comment on the design team’s blog hop posts (linked below) to see their take on the inspiration, then go get inky and link up your take on the challenge to be eligible in our prize drawings! Also, you should have come here from Stacey’s blog and since I’m the last stop on the hop, I’ll encourage you to checkout the full hop at the Verve blog after this!
And going on to my cards now… here is the first one…
And I’ll show you the second one before talking a bit about what I used on both cards…
So on both I kept a bright, cheery theme and slightly pinkish because these are going to two friends both expecting little girls soon! I used the Verve Starry die on both. The sentiment on the first is from the Verve Shining Star set and the second is the Verve Little Star PJ. I used a lovely subtle shine paper I found in my stash for the stars.
And I must put in a plug today for the Stampin’ Up! heat gun. Its fast and very efficient! I also used the SU hearts stencil to sponge a few hearts in spring colors on the cards. The stars I cut from the second card, I used on the first.
Lastly, I kept both cards fairly flat to make mailing easy so not much dimensions. The inlaid diecuts technique is perfect for adding elements without dimension.
Hope you liked the cards! A bit more hop info before I sign off for today…
Challenge deadline: Sunday, Apr. 19.
Prize: $40 gift voucher to the Verve online store!

Need a little inspiration? Check out the blogs linked below to see what the other Divas did with the challenge! It’s sure to be a treat, and speaking of treats, we’ve got a prize for one lucky commenter along the hop! Check out the Verve Blog today for all the prize info and deadlines!

I love how you used stars on your card for a baby!! I like that you used sparkly paper for the stars. The sentiments tie in perfectly with the stars!!! Also, the decision to die cut the stars into the card, rather than popping them up, still added great dimension!! I LOVE that idea and will have to use that on my cards. Thank you for sharing your cards!!!
