Runway Inspired Challenge #77

Hi all

I mentioned in my recent Monday Musings that one of the ways I got my mojo back was to participate in a challenge. I was inspired a LOT by the recent RIC!

Here is my card…

RIC77

I made this after Julie’s class on Saturday so you can see I was all inspired by her style too! I also wanted to go for a really complex (for me) card so I took my time working on this and adding elements.

The flowers are from Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold and Extras set. I stamped them in distress inks and watercolored inside with the same ink colors. Added some black watercolor splotches and some Pretty Pink Posh sequins.

The sentiment is from the same set and I stamped & embossed it on black cardstock. Tore around the cardstock edge to create a really cool effect! Then swiped my Versamark pad on the edges and heat embossed with gold powder. I rubbed a little bit of white ink on the panel as well to give it a chalky effect before adhering it with foam to the card.

After all this, I still felt the card needed somethings more. So down went the metallic gold cardstock and I also stamped the card base with this stamp in black before adhering everything down.

So thats my card for today! Hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by 🙂

Hey Chaitali! The lovely layering on this card is so exquisite – love all those pops of gold contrasting with those soft watercoloured flowers! Thanks for playing along with the Runway Inspired Challenge 😉

Chaitali, your card should be strolling down the runway…it’s ‘that’ stunning! The flowers, the papers, the techniques…classy and gorgeous! WOW!
