Verve Weary World Spotlight Hop

Hello everyone!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Verve November Spotlight hops!

First a quick orientation check. You should have come here from Laurie‘s blog. You can also begin at Julee‘s blog if you want to start the hop at the beginning!

Today is a set from Julee. A fabulous one showing a beautiful nativity scene! It really brought back memories of my childhood when we constructed these in school and sometimes spent an entire day on it!

Here is my card with the set.

WearyWorld

I sponged out a panel with distress inks then stamped the manger image. Colored it up with subtle colors and Copics. Colored the star with white and gold gel pens. The snow and stars are all done with white gel pen. I also added some “snow” to the sentiment with the gel pen.

Hope you liked the card!

Now for some hop details…

Love your use of the sponging! Had a hard time finding your card as it seems the link points to an older challenge for Verve and not this one. Glad to catch up on your cards! 🙂

Pretty card! I love this image from the stamp set and the sponged colors. It is a great idea to use the white gel pen to create the stars. Thanks for sharing.
