Caring Hearts Card Drive 2014

Hey folks!

I am joining in today for a bloghop for the Caring Hearts Card Drive! I had the honor of creating the logo for the drive this year!! Thats the one you see in this hop and on posts related to the drive!

Here is more information about the drive…

Caring Hearts Card Drive is a card drive organized by Vera Yates & Jennifer McGuire with the goal to collect holiday cards for the elderly that lives in nursing home. During this time many of the elderly who lives in nursing homes would really feel the loneliness or missing their family. Wouldn’t it be so awesome if we can bring a smile to their face & brighten their holiday season simply by sharing our love of card making? A simple gesture to let them know that they are not forgotten.

The card drive is going on right now till November 28, 2014. If you’d like to send your cards for the card drive please go to this post on Vera Yates orJennifer McGuire blog for the card drive details.

Lets quickly get the hop order organized. You should have come here from Julee’s blog. If you want to hop from the beginning, you can start at Vera’s blog.

Wanna see my card for today? 🙂

I pulled out a lovely set designed by Danielle Lounds for There She Goes (TSG) stamps last year. Its a fun sketchy Christmas set and I loved coloring it! TSG closed its doors in December last year but I love my stamp collection and pull it out when I can!

I watercolored the image and then added some splatters of red. The gold splatters were hand-created with a gold gel pen that I randomly dabbed on the paper and wiped quickly with a finger. The stitched border is from a Lil’ Inker Designs die.

Hope you enjoyed the card! Do participate in the drive if you can. Nothing like spreading some Christmas cheer around 🙂

Oh and did I mention there are PRIZES?! Yes! Lots of them!! Check out Vera’s blog for the full list of prizes. You can leave comments on the hoppers blogs till midnight CST on Saturday, Nov 8. Winners will be chosen randomly based on collective comments left on the designers’s blogs. So be sure to leave loads of love for everyone!

Thats all from me today! Your next stop is the Reverse Confetti blog.
