Verve Pink Power Spotlight Hop

Hey everyone!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Verve October Release spotlight hops! Check out the October release if you haven’t already!

Today we are spotlighting the Pink Power set and the Ribbon die. This is a set very very close to my heart! My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer some months ago and is currently undergoing treatment. She is doing well and recovering! I illustrated this set for her with lots of love and because I am so proud of her for being so strong throughout the process!

Here is my card with the set…

ChaitaliPinkPower

Cut the tags with the Pretty Pink Posh tag die and inked them with distress inks then tied up with a ribbon. I splashed some water drops on the tag to create the watery effect. The bald silhouette I covered with glitter.

My card today is also inspired by one of Splitcoaststampers Hope You Can Cling To challenges – Two by Two, Side by Side. I have used pink and purple on my card and have 2 tags on it!

EDIT 10/6: Also submitting to Virginia’s View Challenge #8 because well most of my cards are CAS!

I hope you will use the set too, to make a card for someone you love who is undergoing BC treatment or for general awareness of the cause! Do check out the Hope You Can Cling To event and challenges if you’d like to send out your card!

On to the hop details now…

Chaitali, I love that you made tags — wonderful idea for a party in honor of someone’s completion of chemo/radiation/5 years/whatever! Or just as a prayer circle — thanks for the idea and for sharing your work, it’s beautiful!

Beautiful card. I’m sorry that the subject is hitting so close to home. Hope Mom continues to improve. The shading around the silhouette is so pretty. Love the glitter on the silhouette – we’re going to shine even though adversity has hit us.
thanks for sharing. Tell Mom hello and best wishes.

Sending prayers and positive vibes to your mom; she’s on a challenging journey, but good to hear that she’s doing well. My sister-in-law was diagnosed a year ago, underwent a plethora of treatments, and is back to work. Her strength in rising to the challenge was incredibly amazing; I know you recognize similar traits of strength, courage and resilience in your mom! Your card/tags…nothing short of absolutely wonderful. You’ve infused it with a powerful message!

Thank you C! Glad to know your SIL is doing better! Did you notice the running shoe prints on the set? Those are for those who run for causes! 🙂 You sort of gave me that idea with your biking!
