Hey folks!

Today’s set is one Julee illustrated. She was inspired by elements from my sets. Thats SUCH an honor!! And ofcourse this one has some beautiful elements in true Julee style!

Here is my card…

I went very bright and cheery with the color scheme here. The background is a stencil and I broke out my shiny new Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Markers – Mini Ink Blending Tool. And I LOVE it! I didn’t even swish the tool around when creating this background. Just pressed in the ink and stamped on the stencil a bunch of times.

Oh hey did you notice the flowers are die cut? 🙂 Yup yup yup! There are matching dies to this set!

    I love how clean and simple this card is, and using the mini distress tool that way is ingenious! It really gave such a lovely effect to the background. Thanks for the inspiration!

      No it hasn’t sunk in at all yet! I’m SO honored that Julee was inspired to make a whole set from my designs. She is an amazing illustrator herself and a great boss/mentor! I’m sure I’ll keep feeling this is a dream till I see the sets in the Verve store tomorrow 🙂

    Looking at the Verve blog, I can see your influence in the stamp set. I couldn’t though from just this stamp. I like that there is an accompanying die set.

    I love the soft look of this card. I’m just getting my feet wet with sponging & stencils & I’m really liking it. Your flowers in this card really appeal to me.

    A stunning card as always ! Your stencilling really enhances the flowers. Can I just say that it is wonderful that you take the time to reply to some of your comments…. especially nowadays when time is so precious in our hectic world
