Verve July Release Hop Day 2

Hey folks!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Verve July Release Spotlight hops! You should have come here from Maureen’s blog. If you want to begin at the beginning, the hop starts at Julee’s blog.

Today my second stamp set with Verve is releasing!! This one was inspired by Rangoli, an ancient artform in India where circles are made on the ground with white powder and colored powders are filled in. These Rangoli circles are common for many Hindu festivals like Diwali and are also made for happy occasions like weddings.

If you noticed, the designs usually have lots of interlocking circles. My set is also designed as a builder set with lots of intricate circles that fit into each other and also cut with standard sized circle punches.

So back to the hop and today’s card…

PeacefulMedallions

I went elegant with this one with lots of red and gold, the colors most dominant in Indian festivals. You can see the pattern is made from 2 circles in the set. The middle paper strip is from some Indian handmade paper I have been storing away in my stash for a special occasion!

Thanks for stopping by! Your next destination is the super talented Marisa!
