Hiya folks!!
Its Episode 12 already! Can you believe how fast the episodes are speeding by? We are halfway through this season already! Enjoy it while you can 😉
Today my guest is someone whom I greatly admire because she is certainly an ideal crafter. She is well known for her generous, encouraging nature in the crafting community; she is an accomplished crafter having won many challenges and been published several times and she is a proud mom as well!
So glad to have Virginia Lu here today for Iron Craft!! I know you guys will enjoy the interview! We talk about being a crafty mom, about her crafting style and we also have a fun ingredients challenge for our crafty time this week!
Some time ago Iron Craft reader Kirsten suggested in a comment that I should do an episode focused on re-using your stash. I thought it was a great idea but wasn’t sure how to include it into Iron Craft.
Until Virginia’s episode!
We used the latest Virginia’s View challenge for our inspiration and it is all about Tags and Scraplings! The requirement is to use at least one recycle element in your creation. Perfect to re-use your stash! We even picked an older stamp set that Virginia already had in her stash – the Hero Arts Love Jar set! So it all came together very nicely for a re-use your stash themed episode!
Here is what we both made. Aren’t Virginia’s tags gorgeous? 🙂 I made just one itty-bitty tag but used a ton of scraps on it!
Today Hero Arts is sponsoring our giveaway! Thanks Hero Arts!
One lucky winner will get an in-stock clear stamp set of their choice! Yup, any clear set of your choice!!
To win, you know the drill… just leave a comment here answering Virginia’s question from the video interview! I’ll choose a random winner from the comments. Here is Virginia’s question for you again…
What is your favorite embellishment?
So go ahead and tell us what your favorite embellishment is. Perhaps if you have it, you should take it out and try to use it for the Iron Craft Challenge and Virginia’s View challenge!!
Hope you enjoyed the Iron Craft episode! See you next week!
Fantastic tags! My current favorite embellishment is sequins…big ones, small ones, cupped or flat or shaped…they also make the perfect filler for shaker cards!

Love your interviews, Chaitali. Apart from just admiring their card making, the interviews help me admire the people and their hearts behind it as well. Loved listening to Virginia.
As a mom to be I can see how it got her hooked to papercrafting. I’m bummed I missed so many episodes between my nausea. Glad to watch one again.
Oh, my favourite embellishments. Umm, I’d have to say butterflies 🙂 Even though I’m attracted to enamel dots I hoard them more than use them.
Regards,
Vithya

My favorite embellishment is ribbon, twine, etc. I seem to rarely make a card that doesn’t include it! I don’t purposely attempt to use it. Instead, I seem to just gravitate towards it1

My favorite embellishment is on the back of every card I make. I have a little custom-made stamp that says good mojo designs. I put it on everything. I Am honoring our dear late golden retriever whose name was mojo. It makes me think of him every time I make a card. Plus a Mojo is like a good luck talisman. That’s a really cool thing to have on the back of the card.
