Hello Sketch!

Hey everyone!

To get the party going on the current Iron Craft Challenge, I have a card to share with you using Mayuri (Flubidoo)’s inspiration! Here is the inspiration for you again.

Episode6Collage

Do you see the CAS(E) This Sketch in the inspiration? Here is a secret! Its the newest one thats up today! 😉

So I used that and the color inspiration in my card today. Here is the card!

I used winnie & walter Scenery: Rectangled & Triangled for my card. I cut out the hello from foam for some added dimension. And multiple cuts create some really nice depth! Here is a quick look at the cutout.

I love how it cuts really cleanly! The Hello die is My Favorite Things Dienamics Happy Hellos. And while cutting this, I discovered a little trick that I want to share today! Sometimes its difficult to get a cuttlebug sandwich in the machine to begin cutting. But if you leave a little gap at the top of the plates, it will cut well! But remember to listen to your machine and never force a sandwich through the bug!

Here is a pic to show you what I mean. Notice the gap at the top of the plates?

And lastly, here is another pic to show you the dimension!

Hope this inspired you to join the Iron Craft Challenge! And if you play this week, you can also link up to the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge! Go check out the wonderful creations Chrissy and her team made! After all, the top answer to Mayuri’s question was that challenges are a big source of inspiration!!

Great card, Chaitali. I’ve never used foam, but after reading this post, I decided to try the same die with felt. Was really pleasantly surprised- smooth as silk. Thanks for the inspiration & now I’m pretty sure I need that stamp set.
