Verve May Release Hop Day 1

Hey folks!

Today I’m participating in the Verve May Release Hop! You should have come here from Teresa’s blog. If you want to begin at the beginning, the hop starts at Julee’s blog.

Today’s sets are Button Best, Proverbs 31:25, Pointed Petals Die Set. You are absolutely and completely going to love the dies. Really!

Here is what I made…

ButtonBest

This card was inspired by this beautiful card by Danielle Lounds! I used my own technique though to get the watercoloring effect. I sprayed water on white paper first then smooshed down Stormy Sky and Spiced Marmalade distress inks on the two sides. Since the paper was water sprayed, pushing the inks a bit to blend in the middle was easy. I used the same technique on my Diva Dare card this week as well!

Didn’t I tell you the dies are gorgeous?! Loved the flowers and loved coloring them in copics! And the sentiment is so sweet too. This one is for my mom! 🙂

Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 5/23.

I love how the colors are blended together to form the background.
The flowers in the corners – in matching colors to the background – are so pretty. Great card.

The mega-watt smile your mom will have when you give this to her…wear sunglasses! Your card is gorgeous! A beautiful showcase of the new release, and equally as impressive, a beautiful showcase of how YOU work magic with Verve products. I see a perfect match between you two…

Love the background and stitching! The flowers with this set are so pretty, and having received a die cut machine for Mother’s Day, I am so glad there are coordinating dies!
