CASE Study Challenge DT Call

Hey everyone!

Wish me luck! I’m applying for the DT call of one of my dream design teams! The CASE Study challenge! They have a DT call going and I couldn’t resist throwing my hat in the ring.

The challenge was to pick an existing creation by our personal “muse” and CASE it. Well, I have been doing that every week with Iron Craft! So I have some practice for this big game 🙂

I have not one but 3 cards with CASEing 3 different muses to be triply sure! Lets start the parade shall we?

First up is Laurie Willison’s stenciled card. So gorgeous!

Here is my CASEd version of the card using the same SSS Ring Cluster stencil and the same color combination. I did make the colors a bit more brighter in keeping with my style. I added the Happy diecut using WPlus9 Happy Trio and cutting it 6-7 times to give it thickness.

Next is Debby Hughes’ beautiful CAS and trendy card!

So um yeah the clean white look is REALLY hard to capture. But the coloring. Oh the coloring! I tried to capture the same color scheme in my card but gave myself freedom to play with some favorite dies and stencils and glitter embossing. So liberating to just experiment!

This uses My Favorite Things Happy Hellos die and SSS Chevron stencil. And some distress inks and glitter embossing powder.

The last one is Kim Singdahlsen’s stunner card!

Whenever I have new craft goodies to play with, I go Pinterest and Google for other creations with those goodies. And Kim’s card was perfect when I got the SSS Chevron stencil and the WPlus9 Timeless Tags 2 dies. Good thing both are durable because with the way I’m using them, they might just fall to pieces!

I also liked Kim’s blue and red color scheme but with the watercoloring bug going around, I decided to soften the color scheme on this one!

Mine also uses My Favorite Things Happy Hellos die and SSS Ring Cluster stencil.

Surprisingly, as often happens with muses, my card looks NOTHING like Kim’s! But I assure you thats where it started!

I Photo-Shopped the CASE Study image to showcase my muses photos because I felt it was a nice touch to tie in this post with CASE-Study. All credit for the image goes to CASE Study except the actual photos in each muses’ image. Those belong to my muses and I have linked to their blog posts just above the images.

Hope you enjoyed the cards! Fingers and toes crossed for the DT application. It would be SUCH and honor to play with some very very talented ladies if chosen!

Wonderful job of CASEing the muses that inspire you. The background on the second card looks like those granite countertops that everyone is wanting. The colors on the first one are gorgeous and I love the tipped panel. Wishing you luck on getting picked for the team. Looks like you can handle it just fine.

Thankyou Jill! Yours is GORGEOUS too! And I peeked at the other cards today. We have some stiff competition for the call. I don’t know how Chupa is going to select just 2 or 4 out of so many fab entries!
