Hellooo Iron Craft followers!
Welcome to another episode of Iron Craft! Today I have a superwoman guest! Follow me to the video!
My guest today is owner extraordinare of Sweet Stamp Shop, Mrs. Sweet herself – Nicole Rixon! Here is my awesome video interview with her!
Nicole and I used Sweet Stamp Shop goodies ofcourse! A fun and trendy set she illustrated! This one is actually releasing TODAY! So you get a first look at it! The set is called Artsy Fartsy and will be in the Sweet Stamp Shop for sale from today!
Here is what we made! Me on the left, Nicole on the right!
Isn’t Nicole’s card so colorful and cute? I tried to copy her style closely with the color, pop-dots and co-ordinating patterned papers! It was SO much fun!
Nicole is sponsoring a giveaway today for a $20 gift certificate to Sweet Stamp Shop! Thanks Nicole!!
To win, just leave a comment here answering Nicole’s question from the video interview! I’ll choose a random winner from the comments. Here is Nicole’s question for you again…
If you could design any stamp set, what would it be?
So let your imagination run wild and “design” the stamp set of your dreams! Enjoy! See you here next time 🙂
Great video Chaitali. It was great meeting Nichole and hearing about her Journey.
If I could design a stamp set it would be small game style stamps that boys and girls like to play. Thanks for a chance to win.

Great idea Eileen! I’d love to hear more about what you’d want to see in such a set! One of my older cards has a set that I use many times for such an occassion! http://146.148.51.193/2012/03/fly-a-kite/

Well for younger ones, Hop Scotch Board with chalk, Frizbees,
Jacks with a small ball, Slinky are a few.
For the teens sadly Im not familiar with the games they play but a stamp with the pic of certain games would be neat.

Another great video I so love these monday videos I am always looking out for them. Nicole is really sweet and that stampset is great as are both of the cards made with them.
About the question well that’s a hard one. I love stampsets that are versatile so you can use them for several occasions especially when the stampsets are buildingsets. So if I could I would love to design a stampset with several images that would make a great total building them together by stamping one after another.

There are LOTS of building sets that I think you’ll love Anja! Always a great idea to stretch your stamps with such sets!

I loved meeting Nicole! Being somewhat new to Papercrafting I was not familiar with the Sweet stamp set collection. So this is such a treat for me to find another stamp collection to follow, enjoy, and create with!
If I were going to design a stamp set it would be a SPRING BREAK stamp set. I am really into the Project Life right now and I have searched and haven’t found any spring break stamp sets that you can scrapbook with. Yet there is a need for it when you go away with your family on vacation for spring break. It could maybe include a swimsuit, spilled suntan lotion, shells on the beach, fun luggage, etc…
Thanks so much for the interview! Keep them coming!

If I designed a stamp set it would have have a table top and different food and decoration images that could be combined for various holidays and events. Birthday cake, cupcakes, turkey and mashed potatoes, fruits, etc. The plates would be separate so you can customize the setting! Haven’t seen anything like that and I love versatility in my stamps.

I’m really looking forward to your next interview…thanks Chaitali!!!

I am in love with these videos! It is so nice to see the other side of just buying stamps. I get to know a little about them and your interviews are so fun. Thank you for offering us the inside to this wonderful crafting world.
My design of a stamp set would be: Family Tree set with all the generation stamps: Grandfather, Mother, Father, Sister, Brother, etc…I can see making a scrapbooking page with a tree in the middle wth it’s branches extending out and adding all the generations to it. That would be a cool picture to hang too or give as gifts. Just my two cents.

I’d love to see a little girl set—all ‘sugar & spice and everything nice’ but with a touch of sass, too. I’m so not sure what that would look like, lol but I think there needs to be a skunk!! Random, I know, but it all comes from my sweet baby girl who’s nickname is Skunk ‘cuz she spoiled stinky rotten 😉

Chaitali, you’ve wowed us once again with a charming interview and two stunning cards! Delightful on every level; thank you! My husband and I are very much into cycling – road-bike, mountain bike and cyclocorss. He competes, and I am a bike-race official, so our weekends beginning early May to the end of November often have ‘races’ as a destination, whether here in our province of Alberta, or in the state of Oregon, where my husband competes in the Cascade Classic. Given that wee background, if I were designing a stamp/die set, I’d create images of road, mountain and cyclo-cross bikes (not ‘kid’ bikes) with a series of ‘bike-themed’ sentiments (some ‘common’ – enjoy the ride, learn to swerve – and others from notable cyclists, like Eddie Merckx’s “Ride. Lots.” or Jans Voight’s “Shut up, legs”…), in both feminine and masculine fonts. Because I know soooo many cyclists, as well as bike shop owners, I think I’d have an audience for my cards. Just thinking about the possibilities makes me smile. Yes, a ‘quirky’ set, but I know I’d love them! Thanks for the share opportunity and the give away!

Loved watching this video and hearing the answers to your questions. I know that I like knowing the face behind the company when it comes to crafty supplies and it was great fun meeting Nicole. I am a big fan of her stamps and designs!
The type of stamp sets I have been liking lately are text-based designs. I love subway art with a mix of fonts, and interchangeable sayings in artsy fonts as well. I also like humorous sayings and cute animals!

Super fun interview! As for any stamp set that I could design, I think it would be fun to design a set based on one of my all time favorite book series..the Stephanie Plum books by Janet Evanovich. In the set, there might be a donut, a dog (Bob), hamster (Rex), dented-up car, the words…Babe and Cupcake, a bucket of chicken, handcuffs, etc. Thanks for the giveaway and a chance to know Nicole better!

Brush stroke type fonts, just free handed sentiments I suppose! I would love more stamps like that!

Great video! I’m always on the lookout for stamps I can use for Bon voyage cards and vacation scrapbooking, and would love to see a stamp set with iconic monuments (ie: Eiffel Tower, Big Ben, Colosseum, Statue of Liberty, Golden. Gate bridge, etc). If trademarking is an issue, how about a vacation-related set (ie: suitcase, tickets, passport, map, guidebook, airplane, train, cruise ship, etc)?

Wow! Thanks for bringing us Nicole and the Sweet Stamp Shop! I really enjoyed hearing about how she got started and about the educational program she offers. Will definitely be looking into that.
As for the question of what sort of stamp set I’d design, I’m sure my answer would vary every day of the week. But I’m really into lemons, and I think a building stamp set would be cool. Something where I could sort of stamp out a still life painting, do you know what I mean?
But anyhow I would love like a blue & white bowl filled with lemons. Or a pitcher full of ice and lemon slices. And I would want the images to be classy and display realism instead of cutesy.

What i love about Mondays, but of course “Iron Craft”. I would like to design a stamp set that could be used for cards as well as scrapbook layouts. Topics would include gardening and especially flowers, a cool addition would be the scientific name of the flowers name in a cool font. Another idea would be a stamp set about fitness and working out. I vision a set of dumbbells, a yoga mat, a jump rope, sneakers, etc. A sentiment would be something to encourage people to be fit, and in a fun way.

Thanks Terri! You made my day with the comment about Iron Craft for Mondays 🙂 I’d like a fitness set too! Could make so many cards for the fitness conscious folks I know (including my hubby!). And stamping with it will make me feel healthy too 😀

Isn’t Nicole the sweetest? And Sweet Stamp Shop’s images RULE! If I could design a stamp set it would probably be… an adoption themed one – I would mostly use it to make pocket pages for our adopted furbaby and cards that animal rescues could give away to folks who adopted rescue animals, but a lot of folks, including myself, have adopted family members as well! I am a HUGE dog fan and animal lover in general, but Nicole has already come out with a lot of cute animal images recently (YAAY!!) Thanks for the chance to win!

Nicole is so ebullient(love that word). She almost bubbles off the screen-what fun. I would design a sentiment set, specifically for loss. The font would be classic & hand written with meaningful thoughts, not “with deepest sympathy”. I guess I’ve thought about this more than I realized. Thanks Chaitali & Nicole for a fun episode.

Another brilliant interview (watch out Barbara Walters!!) and Nicole is just so sweet. No wonder she creates such sweet products! This is complicated but I love television. Alot of the programmes I watch, I end up hearing a word or a phrase that becomes popular in the media or sticks in my head. Would love a stamp set with these quotes, a set for each programme with stamp images to go with it. I would use something like that ALOT!!

I have a few ideas tumbling around in my head for stamps, but the one I always wish I had is for (I’m a project lifer too) is for my small town with a hip edge (fun, witty sentiments)…something with parks, American flags, houses, rivers, etc. We do a lot of “stay-cations” and play in town a lot these days, and I don’t have very many stamps that are super fun to add to these pages.
Thank you so much for the great video and the chance to win!!!!!

Loved the interview. Might even watch it one more time. If I could design a stamp set, it would be flowers, butterflies, birds & script.
I think you could make any kind of art project with those elements.
Or maybe it would be a nautical set, lighthouse, birds, shells, sand, boats – so many possibilities.

I love seeing and hearing the people behind all these beautiful cards we see online. Thanks so much for these interviews. If I have a choice of a new design it would be something with girls roller skating. I have seen stamps in every sport including ice skating but never, never roller skating. I can’t even find stickers about skating. Maybe it is a lost art and no one does it anymore but my granddaughter is in roller derby and I can’t find anything to make for her. They have zany outfits, pom poms on skates, different laces and great shirts with fun names. I sure would like to see something like that someday.
