A little bit of inspiration!

Hey folks!

I’m back today with a post for i {heart} papers! Today I have some journaling cards for you! No I don’t do Project Life. I did last year but it was all digital and sadly I didn’t finish it. BUT I still have a ton of the journaling cards and I figured they could be put to good use for card fronts!

So I decided to make a few and keep them handy for quick cards. Well, you know the feeling when you are all pumped up to start and then nothing! :O Yup that was me yesterday. Where did I turn to for inspiration? The latest Iron Craft Season 2 episode ofcourse! Julie asked a fun question on what everyone’s favorite trends were and the TOP answers so far were 1. Watercolor, 2. Stencils and 3. Diecuts. Not surprising eh?

I’m not one to fight trends so I got my distress inks out and got busy watercoloring! I used ONE sheet of paper from this paper collection. I wanted to do this for the longest time! See how many cards I can make with one 6X6 sheet of paper! Wanna see how many I made?

Here they are…

JournalingCards

Yup I made 7!! They were so much fun that I kept going. And I didn’t even finish the paper sheet :O If you noticed, I also used the third most popular Iron Craft trend – diecuts! Fear not, the stencils shall be used in future!

And another group shot of the cards…

Yea is super duper easy to mess with distress inks! I just put some down on my craft sheet, spritzed water and squished the card in it. Different results each time!
