Hello everyone! How are you doing? It hit 90 degrees (F) here in WA today!!! Iced tea and cold frappuccinos anyone? I do have a super cool guest for you with some fun cards today 🙂
My guest today is a very very skilled artist. She had a fun and whimsical style of drawing that I just love. She illustrates stamps for There She Goes and also has her very own Etsy store for digis.
Have you guessed yet? Yup! Torico is playing with me in Iron Craft today!!
Torico started with making hand-carved stamps in 2009. She has made some really awesome designs so its an honor to get to play with her digis today for me!
Read on to see what we made for Iron Craft today 🙂
Torico and I are both using a recently released digi from her shop, Birdie Brown. ITs such a fun and cute digi that I wanted to hug the bear when I saw it!
Here is what we made…
My card is to the left and Torico’s to the right…
I enjoy learning from my master crafters so for this card I got my Inktense pencils out to try and duplicate Torico’s soft coloring that I love on so many of her cards. I don’t think I succeeded but I still managed to achieve a good soft look 🙂
Isn’t Torico’s card just so fabulous? I love how she colors her images with lighting in mind. Her bear is looking towards the light source so nicely! Go check out her blog to read up more on her card! But not before you see the fabulous giveaway Torico is sponsoring!
Torico is VERY generously giving away 3 digis of the winner’s choice to 1 lucky winner! So you can choose any 3 digis from the Birdie Brown shop if you win! Thanks Torico!!
To win, just leave a comment here by 23:59 EST on July 7 telling us what your favorite birthday present would be! I’ll pick a random winner from the entries for the gift certificate!
Thanks so much for dropping by! Have a great day!!
LOVE your site, which I discovered about a month ago! Iron Craft is simply delightful! Today’s cards are both stunning and I agree – the bear certainly is huggable! Great question for the wonderful give-away opportunity! My favourite b-day gift (outside of a stack of books from my wish list) would be spending the day with my husband, at home, snuggled inside (December birthday), and celebrating with pizza and a HUGE piece of carrot cake! A day of LOVE…and now I have a cake craving….Have a fantastic Monday!

Such fun cards! This is a new line to me, and am going to pay a visit when I leave here. Torico’s work is lovely, I especially love her coloring and color combo. I just got those pencils two weeks ago, so I have to learn how to use them like the two of you! My favorite b-day gift is taking the day off work! It is my bday on Weds, so I put in for the day, and so did my hubby and we will be going to a local tea shop for lunch and maybe a trip to my local stamp store!

Great inspiration cards – I agree – those bears are huggable! I love the look of pencils but I can’t achieve those wonderful shades you guys have! I will keep trying though! When I was a child, my grandmother used to give us a fun box – it had school supplies, coloring books, all kinds of fun stuff – that would be a great gift now – but in adult fashion…great cardstocks, stamps, tools, inks, etc… it would so fun just digging to see what was in it. Then when I got to play with what was in the box it would be fun all over again!! OHHH YEAH!!!

Love both cards! Birdie Brown digis are so incredibly cute!!
Although my first instinct is to say new stamps, I think my favourite birthday present would actually be a new boardgame that my husband and I could then play together ❤ That's one of our favourite ways to spend time together.

Fab cards girls.
My idea of the best Birthday present would be a magic wand so house work and shopping would be done, and my craft stash all be sorted so I could craft to my hearts content without feeling guilty… Well, a girls gota dream 🙂

Well, this post seems to be timely for several people; I just celebrated living 56 years 🙂 The Birdie Brown images are just simply – FUN!!! This little bear opening a gift box of balloons_what could be more fun? (My favorite, still, is the “fun-gi”) Thank you for your generosity, and thank you for an opportunity to WIN 😀
