Hey all! Happy Monday and a belated Happy Mothers Day to all the moms! Hope you had a good weekend 🙂 Time for another Iron Craft to start your week! I’ll introduce you to my guest in a minute but a quick announcement before that. You MUST drop by tomorrow and Wednesday! ArielleGordonIn the spirit of Mothers Day I have a super mom as my guest today! She is mom to 2 sweet kiddos. And she is on a bunch of design teams including Pixel & Co., ADFD and TAWS! Not to mention that she runs a busy challenge blog called Retro Sketches!

Did you guess who she is yet? Yes! She is the amazing Arielle Gordon! I love her energy and her CAS style of cards. Its amazing how she manages all her crafting responsibilities and her family responsibilities so well. I’m excited to have her as my guest for Iron Craft today!

On to the ingredients…

We are both using the Sittin Pretty set from The Alley Way Stamps today.

Isn’t Arielle’s paper piecing awesome? Love the embossed background too! I’ve admired that on quite a few of her cards before!

On my card I colored the cute kitty with copics and added a ball of wool beside it. Painted the dots with a sharpie myself. Here is another pic of my card. Submitting it for the retro sketches challenge 63. You should play along if you haven’t played before!

    I like cats, but dogs are definitely my faourite pets! Sadly, the only dogs in my life right now, are the ones I dog-sit for my sister in law!

    I love dogs! Several years ago, I had two miniature schnauzers – Casey and Squirt. Although they had quite different personalites – Casey the playgirl; Squirt the snuggler – they were identical in one regard: adorable, to the nth degree! Cats are also high on my list, with my brother’s two kitties being tops! I miss my dogs (Squirt lived to age 18!!), so cats are targets of attention these days!
    Wonderful question (stirred memories!) and a wonderful giveaway. I agree – Arielle is awesome!

    Both the cards are adorable. I love the ball of yarn on your card withe the pain splatters. I have 3 Siamese cats so that would be my favorite as they are all staring at me right now. It could also be because they did go to the vet today for a shot. Thanks for sharing the gorgeous cards.

    What cute cards…love the ball of yarn! LOL! I’ve had dogs and cats but I’d have to say I have a weak spot for a shelter dog 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win this adorable set!

    Both of these are super cute cards! Although I wouldn’t turn any animal away, cats are my favorite! We currently have four rescues. Plus two dogs & a turtle. I love this set, it is on my wish list.

    Ok, I have to be honest…I am not a pet person at all, but love any that are stuffed. We have lots of those at home and they are so easy to care for, no shedding, no food to buy, no vet bills and any time you want a hug from one, they are there for you.

    I love both cards so much. They are adorable.
    My favorite pet equally is cats and dogs. I adore both babies for different reasons. I am a very big animal person and could easily be a crazy dog and cat lady. ;P. My draws the line at 3 cats and 2 dogs. 😉 they are ALL my babies!!!!

    My favorite pet is a cat . . . must be due to the fact that I have two adorable ones! The cards are so cute (I just love the ball of yarn, have to try that) and so is the stamp set!

    Super adorable cards, love the chubby kitty, she is so darn cute! Unfortunately, my mom was super allergic to pets so I never had any pets and now my son have severe allergies so I’m in the same boat. I would have to say my daughter’s fish “Barbie” was my favorite pet.
