Hey everyone! Welcome to Iron Craft! Its the 10th episode today. Can you believe how fast time flies??!! You will want to read this one till the end too for another giveaway! 🙂 On to the challenge…
How many times has it happened to you that you met a fellow papercrafter in exactly the same profession as you? NEVER for me until I met Taheerah! I found her blog while blog-hopping around the blogosphere looking for new and interesting blogs. Glad I did because she has some serious talent!
Taheerah has a looong list of published works. Did you know she was a finalist in the 2012 Gallery Idol? She has quite a few challenge wins to be proud of and has designed for some really cool brands too!
I love hoe creative her work is. And she makes some very geeky cards periodically! And she has really great handwriting!
You should check out her blog if you haven’t already! And if she sent you here… WELCOME 🙂
Curious to see what we picked for ingredients? Here you go…
We are playing with a really cool set from WPlus9 today! Its called Chantilly Trim. Its such an elegant and beautiful set!
And because we wanted to make things
harder more challenging for ourselves, we picked this sketch from Gayatri‘s pinterest board (Hiya Gayatri!).
Read on to see how we each interpreted the sketch….
Here are our cards. Mine on the left and Taheerah’s on the right…
Love the gold, white and lace on Taheerah’s card! So elegant! And there are sequins!! I count at least 3 trends in the card… can you spot more?
For my card I was inspired by summer. So its all bright and cheery with lots of bling. All those little and large circles in the sketch reminded me of a spray of water droplets. Thats what I put in this card!
Hope you liked our cards today! We had a lot of fun challenging ourselves making them 🙂
Now for the giveaway! WPlus9 is sponsoring a $15 store credit for one lucky winner!! Thankyou WPlus9!!! 🙂
Just leave a comment here till 23:59 EST on May 9 telling me what you like about the Iron Craft challenge!
Thanks for dropping by! And don’t forget to check out Taheerah’s card on her blog if you haven’t already!!
