DPL Tips and Tricks: Instant Upload

Hello there crafty friends! I’m back with another post on Digital Project Life!

DigitalPL

Today its all about my photo workflow. Photos are the most important part of Project Life after all! And the workflow is important to make sure all my photos land in one place when I want them. I ended up with this after testing out a few other methods. Sharing it today so it may be useful to you 🙂

I have the Google+ app on my android phone which I use to take photos primarily. I have set the “Instant Upload” option on my phone so all photos taken get instantly uploaded to my Google+ account when there is a network connection. Why this flow? Here is a video that summarizes it all…

Instant upload uploads photos to a private album. So its not shared with anyone else! It also organizes all my photos by date which is a huge help remembering the weekly happenings. All I have to do is login to my Google+ account every week when I’m working on Project Life, select the photos I want to add to Project Life and download them! Quick and easy and I don’t have to remember to upload phone photos myself 🙂

If you want to give it a try, here is a quick video showing how you can setup instant upload on your phone…

Hope you found this useful! What is your workflow for photos? I’d love to swap tips so do let me know how you organize Project Life photos!

I have yet to start my Project Life but I have the book instead of deciding to create it digital. Please let me know what you think of it! I’d also love to share tips once I start mine! 🙂
