I’m back to crafting and will hopefully stick to it more regularly in the new year. Its incredibly relaxing for sure!
These holidays, I have picked up on the “cards-as-gifts” theme. I really liked the idea of 3D cards and making beautiful displays that could be kept on the mantlepiece. Betsy Veldman’s beautiful card with In The Meadow PTI set really inspired me. I cased her idea pretty much as is with a few minor alterations for the materials I did not have.
Here is my version:
Supplies:
This was a complex card to make and took a while to get the folding mechanism right. I hand cut the popup fold on the inside since I didn’t have the PTI dies. Also hand cut the white base on the inside to go around the fold. The snow drifts are hand cut too.
We gifted this card to one of our friends and she loved it! Thanks Betsy for some great inspiration.
Hope you enjoyed the post and thanks for dropping by! If you have any cool pop-up or 3D cards to share, do leave me a comment!
Beautiful card! I love the layout of the card…so cool! Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2013 and looking forward to continue our share of projects in the new year! 🙂 Hugs, Marcy
