Christmas in July

Its challenge day at Drunken Stampers and this time we are challenging you to make a Christmas card! With a summer twist ofcourse!

I had to dig through my stamps quite a bit for this. I either had summer stamps or Christmas stamps but not both. Then I found this little chick with presents stamp! That was perfect for a summer christmas card with the chick’s golden yellow color adding to the brightness.

Here is my card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI kraft, PTI rustic cream, patterned paper scrap from my stash
Stamp: Not sure which one this is but would love to know
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black,, Copics
Accessories: Basic Grey Nordic Holiday buttons, Holly leaves form stash, twine

I stamped the chick on PTI rustic cream paper and colored it with Copics. Added some distressing with red and green chalk inks on the edges of the panel then adhered it to the base with dimensionals. I followed this retro sketch for the card.

I’m not sure what stamp the main image is since I got it in a local yard sale. I think its SU but not sure. If you do know what stamp it is, do leave me a comment!

Hope you enjoyed the card! Do join in the challenge if you can. And don’t forget to visit my fellow DT members for added inspiration!

Such a darling card! Love that image for a Christmas card. I use stamps with that chick often and mine are Stampendous brand. Hope that helps you. Love how you made the holly!
