This post is VERY late but I hate posting about a card till after the recipient receives it. Carolina is a very talented member of our Paper Pajama Party blogging group on SCS. Her birthday was April 21. Since I was late sending her a package, she received it today :O At least I was early for her next birthday 🙂
Here is the card I made for her:
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI rustic cream, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White for central panel and sentiment
Stamp: Sunflower template
Accessories: Black pearls
Inks: Copics
Couple of things to point out here — I used the graduated backgrounds technique that Nichole described in Make-It-Monday a while ago. I didn’t have Copics back them so tried this out now. I also wanted to use this really pretty template I got from my stamp festival visit last month.
Lastly, notice the pattern on either ends of the “happy birthday” banner? Its made using one of the smaller ovals from Nestabilities petite scalloped ovals! Yup, its a technique I learnt in my A Cut Above class on how to make a longer label from a smaller die.
Hope you liked the card Carolina! And hope you all liked it. Thanks for stopping by!
