I told you to wait for more patio garden photos and blog rants, didn’t I? Well Tracey from Platypus Creek Digitals read my mind 🙂 She has a lovely challenge at Platypus Creek today — the theme is FLOWERS!!

I have plenty of flower inspiration in my patio garden right now. I borrowed some from there and used Tracey’s cute “Flowers for Mum” digi for my card. Here is what I came up with:

Cardstock: TE Buttercream, Simple Stories Fabulous, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White for digi
Stamp: Platypus Creek “Flowers for Mum”
Accessories: Flowers from TE April KI kit, Prima roses, heart stickers
Inks: Copics

The image is colored with Copics and propped with dimensionals. The background paper is from Simple Stories Fabulous 6×6 pad that came in my TE April kit. the flowers to the left are from the same kit. All those flowers, real and on my card, just didn’t seem enough for this sweetie so I added more Prima roses on the right 🙂

Notice something different in the photo? YUP! Its in my patio garden! I decided to use the garden as a great background for the photo. Here are some more pics of my card with the patio garden and of the garden itself:

Wouldn’t it make a lovely gift for Mothers’ day? Patio garden and flowers all together! I loved this challenge and if you like flowers, this is your time to play along! Be sure to drop by and check out my fellow DT members for added inspiration 🙂 Hope you will play along with us for this 🙂
