Switchable Sentiments

Whimsiedoodles has a new challenge!

I have fallen in love with their digis and wanted to color some ever since I began my Copic adventure. The “choose your own adventure” challenge was perfect since it has so many options to choose from! I decided to go with the “office supply and lined paper” choice.

I used digis and sentiments from the Shell-a-bration digi set. For my office supplies I used lined paper and some fancy paper clips I picked from Staples.

Here is what I came up with:

 Supplies:

Cardstock: PTI kraft for base, patterned paper from stash, Neenah Classic Crest Solar White for digi, Lined paper background
Tools: Cuttlebug, Spellbinders petite scalloped ovals and petite ovals
Inks: Copics
Stamp: Whimsiedoodles Shellabration set

But wait! There is more to this!

The “choose your adventure” theme of this challenge got me thinking. Have you every had a problem with what sentiment to attach to your card? I often have that issue especially when I’m making a card just for fun and don’t know what I’ll use it for later. I usually leave out the sentiment but this time I thought why not make switchable sentiments?

If you look carefully, the sentiment in my card is not stuck on. Its just held together with the paper clips. Sooo….. I can switch the sentiment out for another one if I want 🙂

Here is the same card with a different sentiment:

And here is the card without the sentiment attached.

I am taking the A Cut Above online class and we learnt some great die-cutting tips on Day 1 including holding your die in place with tape. That inspired me to bring out my Cuttlebug and dies for the cute crabby!

Hope you enjoyed the post and thanks for dropping by!

Chaitali – so happy to see you playing along at the Whimsie Doodles Challenge!! 🙂 Love the interchangeable sentiments idea… I often skip adding a sentiment until I know where the card is going, but this is so smart!! Great card!
