I have been bitten by the one layer bug! Ever since I touched and smelt the Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper, I have fallen in love with it. As soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to make some cards with just the paper. No embellies. No layers. Just the base cardstock. Pure and true.
I got carried away by it and made not one but THREE cards :O Here they are:
Supplies:
Cardstock: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Spicy marmalade distress ink, Colorbox Chalk cat eyes
Stamps: PTI All Booked Up
Supplies:
Cardstock: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Peeled paint distress ink, Colorbox Chalk cat eyes
Stamps: PTI Happy Trails, TE In the Park sentiment
Supplies:
Cardstock: Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black, Worn lipstick distress ink, Colorbox Chalk cat eyes
Stamps: PTI Larger than Life, PTI Happy Trails sentiment
I used post-it notes to mask off the white sections for each of these cards and then sponged over them. I used my Colorbox Chalk cat eyes directly for all the sponging along with a few distress inks. The stamps are from different sets but all worked great as silhouette stamps.
Fun fact of the day: I had to keep washing my hands after each card before starting the next one because it was so easy to smudge a card with inky hands while sponging. Smudging is TERRIBLE when it comes to one layer cards because then you just have to start all over again 🙂
This one goes for Papercraft April Gallery Challenge.
Needless to say, you will be seeing a whole lot more of these type of cards in the coming days! Thanks for stopping by!
How striking these are. I love the way you masked lines and the the bold look. Have you tried the Ranger Scrubbie for your inky hands? I ADORE it…It is the best tool for my incredibly inky hands…and it is very cheap ( like 4 dollars..)
