Its been a while since I used my Cameo. And I have a good reason for that. My cutting mat lost its stickiness and I had to wait a while till my new mat arrived. I got some temporary spray-on adhesive for my old mat but the first spray doesn’t seem to have been very effective. If anyone has suggestions for making the cutting mat sticky again, I’d love to hear them!
On to the card. Today’s card has these cute little flowers that I got from the Silhouette store. I scaled the image down in the Silhouette Studio and made several copies of it on a sheet of paper. Cut them on the Cameo then colored them with Tombow markers. Stacked 3 of the flower cutouts together and held them with a brad to make the final flower.
Here is the card:
The background stamp is one of the ones I picked up at the stamp fair this weekend. Check out Stamp Camp. Their background stamps are amazing! I got their unmounted stamps which means I have some work to do with EZ Mount but I couldn’t wait to use them so stuck this on to my block with some removable gluedots.
I inked the stamp with Inkadinkado green ink then colored in between the background with my Tombow marker. Added some glitter (which isn’t visible in the photo) with glitter gel pens.
Left out the sentiment here till I know what I’ll use the card for. This can really be for anything!
This one goes for:
- Use it Tuesday uninked stamp challenge — I used Stamp Camp’s background stamp
- Paper and Such Spring challenge
- Simon Says Stamp flowers challenge

Excellent Card. The wavy green is an fantastic contrast with the orange flowers.I sprayed my cricut mats with Spritz spray, then wiped them down with a clean sponge.http://melaniereidscrapbooking.blogspot.ca/2012/03/restoring-stick-to-cricut-cutting-mats.htmlI plan to try this with my oldest mat:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QUfPpiw1kUIt looks like a simple method.

Love that background stamp and the placement of the flowers is perfect! I usually use Krylon with my mats but sometimes will use masking tape to hold the paper down until I have another mat ready or come in. Hope your mat comes in soon!

Your card has a new and fresh take, I like it a lot. About getting your mat sticky again–a friend and I both like to use Zig two way glue stick with the wide applicator tip to restick our mats. It seems to work great, just let it dry a bit before you put any paper on your newly gluey mat.
