Baby Blue

In our team at work we have a tradition of giving baby baskets to expecting parents. And ofcourse they are always accompanied with a “Handmade by Chaitali” card 🙂

We had plans to give one this week as well and I had to come up with the card. This time I wanted something the baby could also play with! After thinking a while I settled on making a shaker card.

Here is the card:

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI rustic cream for base, Patterned paper scraps
Inks: Broken china distress ink, Inkadinkado blue and PTI true black for sentiment, Tombow markers, Chomas creations gel pens
Accessories: Blue beads, shaker card oval
Stamp: AI baby front & back stamp

Noticed some things? I’ll start pointing them out 🙂 First, I love easel cards! I think they are a great way to show off a handmade card. Especially for special occasions. The shaker is one of my purchases from Heirloom’s Portland Rubber stamp and Paper Arts festival. The cute baby stamp from Art Impressions is another. Remember I said I found some great new stamp companies at the fair? AI is one of them! Go check them out and see for yourself their collection of cool stamps!

This card is for My Time To Craft Easel Card challenge. Do pop over and check out other inspirations from my fellow DT members! Hope you will play along with us at MTTC this week.

Oh you are funny! A card the baby could play with but settled on a shaker card. Sounds like a good compromise to me! Love the shaker card and the baby image…so cute!

This is adorable! First of all, I really like this decorayive sentiment. I also love the clean design, and the added “bulb” over the baby image is a really clever idea.
