I have some great news to share today! I was selected to be on the My Time to Craft DT!!! Isn’t that exciting? My first Design Team ever! Be sure to visit and play in the challenges!
For this week’s challenge on the blog, the theme was doilies and flowers. I had downloaded a lovely Cherry Blossom image freebie from A Day for Daisies ever since Shelly made cards with it. Shelly’s cards are so inspiring and lovely that everytime I visit her blog, I just feel like running to my crafts room and getting creative!
This was perfect for a soft, pink and lovely card and the doiley just fit right in! Here is my card:
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI rustic cream for base, Echo Park Flourish patterned paper, PTI pure poppy background for image, GP110 for image print
Accessories: Black pearls from TE Key Ingredients Feb kit, baker’s twine, doiley
Inks: Tombow markers, watercolors
Stamps: A Day for Daisies cherry blossoms digital image freebie
I have been eyeing all these lovely Copic colored cards for a while and wanted to color an image since soo long! But I’m not a Copic person. I discovered that when trying out some at our local craft store. I am a watercolor person though. So brought out my water colors (yes those little tube ones!) and brushes and palette today. Enjoyed painting this and adding some finishing details with my Tombow markers.
Since I cased Shelly’s card on this and also because her work inspires a lot of my crafts, this card is dedicated to her. Hope you like it Shelly.
