Here is what I made:
This is the first time I tried making my own patterned paper. I wanted to keep it to just a few colors and the Ditzy Craftymess color challenge helped keep me on track with just black and pink. I first stamped the roses then added the smaller rosebuds then the circles and finally the leaves. I found it useful to stamp in layers instead of visualizing the whole page at once.
I used the hexagons and dots from Rosie Posie to stamp and make the other strip of patterned paper. Lightly sponged all the panels with tattered rose distress ink to give it a soft look. Completed the card with a Congrats sentiment from the PTI Congrats set and some black pearls. I am also enjoying popping out my panels from the base card with dimensionals. Makes it look classier 🙂
This card is also dedicated but I will edit this post to add their name once I actually give it to them. Till then, shhh its a secret 🙂
It goes to the following challenges:
- Ditzy Craftymess black and pink challenge
- Use it Tuesday All about baby — using my hoarded sentiment stamps, pearls and least-used ink sets
- Stamptacular Sunday 4+ words of text
Thanks for stopping by and hope you liked the post!
