14 Days of Valentine swap

I enjoy swaps at Splitcoaststampers a lot! Especially the non-card ones since usually when I have to give someone a card I give one of my own ofcourse. This post is a bit late but I thought I’ll share one of my latest swaps with you today.

The swap was 14 days of Valentine. We were 14 people per swap group and each one made 14 packages of the same small gift and wrapped them. Then our wonderful hostess — Jennifer — grouped them together and sent back 14 different packages to each of us. We started opening them one per day from Feb 1 to Feb 14.

Mine were all amazing!! Was great to see so much creativity and talent from everyone. SCS has some seriously talented crafters! My goodies ranged from little post-it note holders to hat pins to some really nice smelling stuff. Oh and there were chocolates ofcourse! No VDay swap is complete without those 😉

I unfortunately didn’t take photos of all the things I received but I thought I’d share what I made for the swap with you. Here is my swap gift:

Supplies:
Cardstock: Papertrey Ink rustic cream, Papertrey Ink pure poppy, Echo Park patterned papers
Accessories: Papertrey Ink saddle stitch pure poppy ribbon, Red bakers twine, white sugar brad, quarter doiley, Prima flower

This little notebook is created with the notepads Papertrey Ink sells. Here is Nichole’s post when these first came out and Michelle Wooderson’s concept. The post has all the dimensions for making the notebook cover.

I added faux stitching with a white gel pen to tie in the saddle stitch ribbon. I added the sugar brad and baker’s twine clasp to keep the notebook flat and closed at all times. It fits in purses nicely to take with you for trips. Always there to scribble a quick note or two!

I wrapped it in some brown paper and added more decorations on the top. Here is a picture of my wrapped present. The 8 is for the day on which my present was opened by everyone – 8th Feb.

Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed the post!
