Crafting up a storm

It was a beaooootifull day here in Seattle today! Clear blue sky, lots of sun, temperature in the 50s and a nice balmy breeze. If you live around here, you would know how hard it is to get such a day in Feb! So I took all my craft supplies out on the patio and crafted all day!

Ever since I discovered the 365 cards blog, I have loved their challenges. It must be pretty tough to have a challenge EVERY DAY for 3 years! I really wanted to do a whole week of their challenges and when I read that I had time till Sunday night to finish the current week’s challenges, I decided to make all the cards in this week’s challenge.

Splitting up the descriptions into 3 posts to keep each one manageable šŸ™‚ Here are the first 2 cards:

365 Cards Day 335 – Super Sketchy Sunday

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI enchanted evening, PTI rustic cream, Echo Park Happy Days
Accessories: Recollections flowers, PTI enchanted evening ribbon
Stamp: SU sentiment
Tools: Silhouette Cameo
Ink: PTI true black, Tattered rose distress ink

This is the first time I have made a tall card. I don’t quite know why I didn’t make this before but I made quite a few tall cards today šŸ™‚ This card follows the sketch here. I’ve been loving sketch challenges lately. Its great to see how everyone interprets the same sketch differently and comes up with all different creations!

365 Cards Day 336 – Simply Stated

Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI rustic cream, GP 110, scraps of patterned paper
Accessories: K&C Company 3D sticker
Stamp: SU sentiment
Tools: Cuttlebug, A2 embossing folder Happy Birthday
Ink: PTI fresh snow

Another tall card! I told you I made a lot of these today. For this one I ran a panel of GP 110 paper through my Cuttlebug and embossed it with the Happy Birthday embossing folder. Then colored lightly over it with my oil pastel crayons to make a colorful background. I have been hoarding stickers for so long now that it was really time to use them. The flag sentiment was a bit plain whem I first cut it so added scraps of patterned paper to pop it up.
