I’m taking the Clean & Simple 2 class to spark up my creativity and so far it’s working!
Here is a card I made for Day 1 of the class. I tried to be as CAS as possible which is hard :O
Supplies:
Cardstock: PTI white, patterned paper scraps from Project Life kit
Stamp: Flourishes Lenten Rose
Inks: Copics, Memento Tuxedo Black
I have a few tips of my own to share for CAS cards. CAS for me is a lot of whitespace and very detailed workmanship. My 2 cents on how I try to achieve this:
- Immediately close all inkpads after you are done using them! Especially when you are as accident prone as me
- Keep your base cardstock as far away as possible while you work on the rest of the card. That way it will remain clean and neat. This doesn’t apply to one layer cards ofcourse.
- Resist the urge to keep on embellishing the card! This is hard I know but it has to be done!
My inspiration for this card were the sketches in the class and also Suzanne’s colorful card from the Muse challenge. I loved the bright color scheme on the card so kept the same on mine. I am submitting this card for the challenge as an entry.

Beautiful! I love the adding of the dew drops, it make the flowers seem more real. And poping the flowers out of the glass really draws the eye. Well done!

I so love your tips! I had to laugh right out loud, because DO I EVER always leave a finger or hand print on white cards. Every time, seems. I love your perfect balance of embellishments (that colour is lovely here!) and of course your beautifully coloured flowers!
